The Met Gala Venue
For the 2026 Met Gala red carpet, Celebrity Stylist, Bryce Scarlett, created a voluminous, polished style for Daisy Edgar Jones with soft movement and a refined, touchable finish using KMS Hair.

BREAKDOWN

On clean, towel-dried hair, Bryce began by applying KMS Hair AddVolume Root and Body Lift directly at the roots, working from the nape upward to build lift and structure. For the bangs, a small amount was applied at the base, lifting them forward off the forehead to enhance volume.

Next, 2–3 drops of KMS Hair AllSmooth Intense Nourishing Oil were distributed through the mid-lengths and ends to lock in moisture and smooth the cuticle ahead of the blow-dry.

Working in two-inch subsections starting again at the nape, the hair was blow-dried using a medium boar bristle round brush, focusing heat at the roots and mid-shaft while maintaining natural movement through the ends. A smaller round brush was used on the bangs, first directing them forward before sweeping them away from the face on either side of a center part.

Once fully dry, the hair was curled using a 1.5-inch curling iron. Small sections were twisted around the barrel and released to create a relaxed, modern wave pattern, with select pieces separated to enhance dimension and texture.

To refine the finish, a few additional drops of KMS Hair AllSmooth Intense Nourishing Oil were worked through the hair to break up the curls and smooth any flyaways.

Finally, the hair was brushed out with a flat boar bristle brush for a soft, cohesive finish, and set with KMS Hair HairStay Working Hairspray at the roots for added lift and hold. For the bangs, a light mist was applied and shaped into place using the fingers.
