Australia’s top travel influencers brands should partner with to help reignite the travel industry

HypeAuditor, the AI analytics platform for brands who want fair and transparent influencer marketing, today revealed the top travel influencers brands should look out for now that Australia has finally reopened international borders after two years of Covid border closure.

As Australia’s $45.4 billion international tourism industry is rebooting, local travel and hospitality brands are amping up their marketing strategies to attract more visitors. Social media influencers’ reach across the different social media platforms have the potential to generate millions in new bookings for travel brands. It’s no surprise that influencers have become an integral part of many travel brands’ marketing strategies as consumers increasingly trust peer recommendations.

According to HypeAuditor’s 2022 State of Influencer Marketing report, 48% of global instagram users are millennials.  And globally, they spend about $200 billion per year on travel – a number that is expected to continue to grow. Millennials are the largest generation to date, making up 23% of the global population. This coupled with the fact that millennials are hitting their prime spending years, make them an ideal demographic for travel companies to target as they will likely be the leaders in re-igniting the travel industry.

Alex Frolov, CEO and Co-Founder, HypeAuditor said, “With international border closures in Australia over the past couple of years, the travel and hospitality industry took a major hit during the pandemic. As travel brands are gearing up to capitalise on the re-opening of international borders, they should not undermine the power of social media in influencing people’s travel decisions and prompting travel bookings.

“Travel social media influencers have turned their trips and holidays into a lucrative business and have gained cult followings. Partnering with inspiring, trusted travel influencers is crucial in helping travel brands reach and engage with the right demographic of customers and ultimately increase their conversion rates”.
