Medow Health AI ip in another $3.5M into AI medtech capital raise Medow Health AI, the Australian health-tech company building AI tools for specialist doctors, has raised a further $3.5 million funded entirely by its existing investor base to roll out Medow’s AI Front Desk, the first AI agent purpose built for specialist health care receptions.
Medow’s AI Front Desk answers inbound calls, manages bookings directly through a clinic's existing practice management system, and passes on patient messages to clinical staff.
The product development has been made possible thanks to returning investors Chris O’Brien Lifehouse CEO oncologist Professor Michael Boyer and leading orthopedic surgeon Michael Solomon, who have helped take Medow’s total seed funding to $8.5M since its first round in April 2024.
“Our new system is designed to support front-desk staff not replace them as up to 50 percent of patient calls go unanswered as a result of increasing demand for specialist services, staffing issues and the need to prioritise patients in front of them,” said Medow Health AI Co-Founder Joel Freiberg.
"When calls go unanswered, it can directly impact the patient and make it harder for them to get the help they need, whether that's an appointment, results, or a repeat prescription."

Medow's core product, an AI scribe that records and documents specialist consults and produces formal clinical reports, is now used in more than 1,000 specialist clinics in Australia and New Zealand with the company on track to process around 3 million specialist consultations this year, up 300% from the previous year.
