​The cooler weather is here, and so is ramen. Every Wednesday evening, Tokyo Tina is serving bowls of steaming, made-to-order ramen until they sell out — and they sell out. 

Each bowl is built on a rich, deeply flavoured broth poured fresh to order, with three options on the menu: 

  • Chashu Pork Ramen – Chicken stock, tare, garlic oil, chashu pork scotch, soy egg, bamboo (menma), bean sprouts, nori, spring onion $28
  • Tantanmen Ramen (Minced Chicken) – Chicken stock, soy milk, minced chicken, sesame paste, choy sum, spring onion, itokiri togarashi, nori $28
  • Veg Kakiage Ramen – (Vegetarian / Vegan) Shiitake mushroom dashi, garlic oil, veg kakiage, bean sprouts, bamboo, soy egg, spring onion, nori $27

​For the entire month of June, both Hanoi Hannah Elsternwick and Windsor locations are serving soul-warming soups and bowls for lunch for just $15 — the kind of midday offer that makes leaving the office an easy decision.

Studio Amaro Steak & Fries Lunch Special
​Perfectly timed for long lunches, midweek catch-ups or anyone who believes steak shouldn’t be saved for after dark, Windsor’s favourite day-to-night Italo diner and basement bar, Studio Amaro, is giving Melbourne exactly that, with its Steak & Fries special. 

Available every ​ Monday to Friday lunch for just $25pp, enjoy an MB2 flank steak served with golden fries, rosemary salt, and a choice of parsley + anchovy butter or an amaro + pink peppercorn jus.

Quarter date night

New Quarter Date Night
​Perfect for mates, dates, and everything in between, New Quarter's Tuesday night set menu special is designed for sharing, complete with a glass of wine or beer. ​ 

Available every Tuesday from 5:30 pm, the three-course experience celebrates bold Vietnamese flavours and a monthly rotating line-up of star proteins, alongside your choice of two sides; think wok-tossed greens with lemongrass sate and confit shallots, grilled banh tieu flatbread, or wok-tossed egg noodles. To finish, enjoy a silky Vietnamese coffee crème caramel, the perfect end to an elevated feast.

Afternoon moonhouse

Elevated Wednesdays at Moonhouse
​Perfect for after-work catch-ups, dinner with friends, or simply refusing to let Wednesday go to waste, Moonhouse's midweek set menu is built for sharing. Every Wednesday night from 5:30 PM, the $50 per person offer includes a drink of your choice and your pick of two generous shared sets — one lighter and seafood-leaning, the other rich and heartily satisfying. 

Set One: Includes fresh oysters with ginger and spring onion, steamed scallops with XO sauce and vermicelli, prawn toast with lemon butter and chive, mushroom buns with chilli soy, chicken and prawn wontons with Szechuan vinegar, and salt and pepper calamari. 

Set Two: Includes beef and black bean hot plate, prawn fried rice with typhoon shelter crumb, kung pao brussels sprouts, and steamed gai lan with mushroom soy. Both sets finish with a palate-cleansing green apple sorbet, green tea granita, honeydew and matcha.

Firebird’s Chicken Night
​For those nights when cooking feels like a chore, Prahran's fire-focused Vietnamese restaurant Firebird serves up the ultimate midweek pick-me-up. Every Wednesday evening for $25, the beloved Chicken Night features signature free-range chicken with a mouth-watering burnt chilli nuoc mam, plus a choice of two sides: 

  • Steamed jasmine rice
  • Wok-tossed greens with Vietnamese sate
  • Papaya salad with lime, green apple, and peanuts
  • Mushroom banh-uot noodles
