Swifties snapping up tickets for Taylor Swift tribute concerts

  • Written by The Times

Tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour are as rare as hen’s teeth, and dejected Swifties are now snapping up tickets for Reputation: The Ultimate Taylor Swift Show presented by The Voice sisters Ella & Sienna, who cracked Rita Ora’s Top 6 on The Voice with Taylor’s 2022 hit Cardigan, in 2022.

They kick off their 90-minute extravaganza on Thursday, 29 February, at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and play 20 dates across the country, finishing in Cairns on Saturday, June 22.

“We’re not a typical tribute act,” says Ella, 21. “We have a full band and do our own twist on the songs. As well as playing all the hits, we take inspiration from her live performances and intros from stadium tours and ceremonies like the Grammys.

“We also have the full outfits and take inspiration from seeing what her fans and everyone else wears to her tours, and even have a suitcase containing just boots – we must have about 20 pairs!”

The Adelaide-born singer/songwriters – who managed to get tickets to see their idol in Sydney on 23 February – stocked up on Swifty-Style when they recently visited Nashville and co-wrote some new songs in a studio owned by Liz Rose, who has penned more than 16 songs with Taylor, including her Grammy-winning Best Country Song, White Horse.

The duo has even converted their male band members into ‘Swifties’, including Freddie Bailey, 19, – also from The Voice – who is joining them on tour on lead guitar.

“The boys are all obsessed now – they’re converted Swifties” laughs Sienna. “They’re even coming to Taylor’s concert, we’re calling it ‘work experience’.”

While meeting the superstar – and even getting tickets to this month’s shows – is a pipe dream for most Australians, Ella & Sienna’s Reputation: The Ultimate Taylor Swift Show is a great alternative – and a fantastic way to continue the party for those who are seeing Tay Tay.

More info and tickets to Ella & Sienna’s Reputation: The Ultimate Taylor Swift Show are here.
