Total Private Cloud Environment Solves Disgruntled Staff Situation

  • Written by Andrew Tucker, CEO, ITonCloud

Often organisation’s make the move to the total cloud environment primarily for systems and cost savings reasons, but promotional products company, Legendlife.com.au, migrated to a total cloud environment to help solve staff frustration with lack of productivity as a result of poor IT solutions.

Legendlife.com.au CEO, Allan Murray said that they were facing staff resignations as result of the frustration with their IT systems.

“Even basic services such as email and printing were slow, the frustration was turning to anger as we endured these issues for months. It became a priority to find a system that allowed us to start focusing on customer service, rather than basic IT tasks,” said Mr Murray.

Legendlife.com.au needed a tailored solution due to the complexity of their systems, and specifically, a private cloud service.

They were using disparate apps and a combination of on premises and Infrastructure-As-A-Service hosted servers which was significantly impacting productivity because of constant system slowdowns and recurring downtime.

There was a complex setup of many different products and environments and no cohesion between multiple systems and support vendors. They were working with the complexities of some on-site requirements for production machinery such as embroidery stitchers, design platforms, despatch systems, and could not afford downtime.

Legendlife.com.au CEO, Alan Murray said, “We were having constant issues with our emails and found Office365 unreliable. We wanted the security of total private cloud environment, and to consolidate all of our apps and platforms into a single offering.”

“Using ITonCloud’s managed desktop and networking means the single platform runs most apps and has integration with on-site production and dispatch systems. This has resulted in increased staff productivity and confidence in the system.”

“We have seen an increased speed and reliability and more integration between systems now they’re in one location.”

“It was important for us to ensure our staff felt supported through our technology systems. The new system renewed our credibility with our team. We had been promising a solution to their frustrations for some time with no success and ITonCloud delivered.”

“Our system can now keep up with our team. It’s fast, reliable with day to day management tools with basic admin we can do ourselves, which is fantastic. Technology like this flows into our customer experience. A happy and productive team means better outcomes for our customers.”

“Due to the complexity of our systems we needed a ground up re-install of all software and it had to be done in one weekend outside trading hours,” said Mr Murray.

We find the number one concern businesses have about going completely to the cloud is the migration process and the potential disruption to the business.

We assured Legendlife.com.au that the migration would be seamless and while they had some reservations, the end result far exceeded their expectations. There has been no downtime since the changeover, which was seamless and well supported with all relevant parties being onsite for the go-live day to get any issues ironed out immediately.

To ensure the security of sensitive data and to manage this complexity ITonCloud is ISO 27001 accredited and has developed a unique methodology that allows us to do the implementation and integration of these applications quickly and easily. This methodology gives our clients absolute confidence, especially as we continue to enjoy a 100 per cent migration success rate.

“Not only was the scope delivered, the implementation happened on schedule and without any significant disruption to our business. I was sceptical going into the project as we had never had an IT project ever run to budget or time schedule, but there’s a first time for everything!” added Mr Murray.
