Smart Cities Moscow will become a platform for discussions on the development of smart cities

The international online forum Smart Cities Moscow will be held in Moscow on May 25-26. The business programme for the event was unveiled this week. Mayors of the world's largest megacities and heads of leading corporations will speak at the forum. They will discuss national policies and standards for the development of smart cities.

The Smart Cities Moscow sessions will focus on the introduction of new technologies, accelerating the integration of digital technologies, standardization and accounting for levels of development, digital platforms, and the involvement of private companies in the management of cities.

The speakers of the forum will be the heads of the world's largest metropolitan areas administrations, as well as IKEA Board Chairman Patrick Antoni, Director of the Center for Cybersecurity at New York University Hoda Al-Hzaimi, WCCD CEO Patricia McCartney, Vice President of Urban Planning and Design at McKinsey & Company Guy Perry, Director of Smart City Solutions at Microsoft Western Europe Jose Antonio Ondiviela Garcia, General Director of ABBYY Russia Dmitry Shushkin, Chief Operating Officer of Yandex. Cloud Oleg Koverznev, SAP Technical Director Andrey Yakimov, Vice President of Rostelecom Boris Glazkov, and other representatives of the expert community and international specialists in the field of informatization and development of smart cities.

The business program includes three main streams: smart city infrastructure and technologies, smart city for life, and sustainable development of a smart city. Within the framework of the «smart city infrastructure and technology» stream there will be sessions devoted to smart transport systems, 5G, implementation of artificial intelligence in urban service management, personal data protection and development of cybersecurity in urban environment, as well as e-government.

The "smart city for life" stream will include sessions on data-driven urban planning, smart cities and superservices, the digital creative economy of cities, and Traveltech. The «sustainable development of the smart city» will be revealed in sessions devoted to renewable energy sources, green technologies, Sharing-culture, and sharing experiences and technologies.

The international online forum Smart Cities Moscow will take place on May 25-26. The event will be devoted to current themes in the development of smart cities.
