Fitstop Global Games to Bring 1,000 Athletes to Brisbane for Major Fitness Showdown

Global Games: Brisbane 2026
The Australian-born fitness brand is bringing its global competition home, with athletes from across the country set to test their strength, speed, stamina and teamwork in Brisbane this October.

Brisbane is preparing to become the centre of Australia’s functional fitness community, with more than 1,000 athletes expected to compete in the Fitstop Global Games at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Saturday, 3 October 2026.

The major fitness event will bring together Fitstoppers and athletes from across Australia for a high-energy showcase of strength, endurance and teamwork. It will also mark the Australian finale of Fitstop’s inaugural Global Games tour, following events in Singapore and Los Angeles.

Born in Brisbane and now operating more than 170 studios across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States, Fitstop is bringing its premier fitness competition back to the city where the brand’s story began.

For Fitstop Founder and CEO Peter Hull, the Brisbane event represents both a homecoming and a significant milestone for the Australian fitness brand.

“Bringing Global Games home to Brisbane is a pretty special moment for Fitstop,” Hull said.

“This is where our story started, and now we have Fitstoppers travelling from communities right across the country to throw down together on the world stage.

“Global Games is everything Fitstop stands for brought to life at scale: performance, progress and community. We’ve created a competition that challenges people to put their training to the test, but is still accessible enough that the everyday athlete can step onto the floor alongside some seriously high-level competitors.”

Hull said attracting 1,000 athletes during the competition’s inaugural year reflected the growing demand for performance-driven fitness events and the strength of the Fitstop community.

Unlike race-focused fitness formats, Fitstop Global Games has been designed to test an athlete’s total fitness capacity. The competition balances power, pace, strength, stamina and teamwork, rather than prioritising one discipline.

Highly technical movements that can create barriers for less-experienced competitors have been removed, while the intensity and competitive atmosphere of a major performance event remain firmly in place.

Athletes will compete in pairs across four 14-minute workout stations based on Fitstop’s signature training formula: LIFT, CONDITION, PERFORM and SWEAT.

Each station will challenge a different area of physical performance, with points awarded according to the number of repetitions completed, weight lifted and finishing time achieved.

Competitors can choose between two divisions. ALL STAR is designed for everyday athletes ready to take their training to the next level, while PRO caters to elite and high-performance competitors seeking a greater challenge.

This accessible but demanding format reflects the continued evolution of functional fitness in Australia. For many participants, competitions now provide a tangible goal that extends beyond attending regular gym sessions, allowing them to train with greater purpose while becoming part of a wider fitness community.

The Brisbane Global Games will also feature a growing collection of fitness, wellness and lifestyle brands, helping transform the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre into a broader celebration of health, performance and community.

Australian activewear brand LSKD will lead the event as naming rights partner, hosting an on-site retail pop-up with customised heat pressing available for purchases.

Subway Australia will also support competitors through a dedicated warm-up and refuel zone, giving athletes a space to prepare and recover throughout the event.

Brisbane will complete the competition’s first three-continent tour while marking a major evolution of Fitstop’s longstanding competitive culture.

For Brisbane, it means welcoming athletes from across the country for one of the city’s largest celebrations of functional fitness this year and giving the homegrown Fitstop community an opportunity to compete together on a global stage.

Final tickets for Fitstop Global Games Brisbane are available through the official Circle21 platform.
