Discover the REESE'S Chocolate Experience

The Anything But Ordinary Restaurant Collaboration

Sydney for one night only: ‘The REESE'S-taurant at Grana Privato’ is the hottest ticket in town

Six recipes created by celebrated chef Alex Wong, inspired by Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

REESE'S chocolates are now widely available across Australia – the ideal option for a salty-sweet, trick-or-treat product this Halloween!

Everything is better with peanut butter” say the creators of the iconic REESE'S peanut butter and chocolate cups and to prove it, they’re inviting fellow Aussies to experience firsthand the debut of the first-ever REESE's-taurantpopping up at one of Sydney’s newest and hottest private restaurants, Grana Privato, later this month.

For one night only – on Tuesday, 29 October 2024 – Grana Privato at Hinchcliff House will turn into a mischievously orange foodie wonderland as celebrated SMH Good Food Guide 2023 NSW Chef of the Year finalist, Alex Wong, serves up his interpretation of the uniquely salty-sweet REESE'S peanut butter and chocolate flavours in six decadent dishes, specially crafted for this unique event.

Sydney food lovers will have their senses delighted the moment they step into the interactive, REESE'S chocolate-branded space. Invited to follow an aromatic chocolate and peanut butter trail, guests will be transported into a world of orange as they arrive. After experiencing an Anything But Ordinary welcome, REESE'S guests will enjoy a creative and surprising peanut butter and chocolate-infused menu inspired by the iconic REESE'S peanut butter cups, while immersed in an orange dining experience that’s been made for the 'gram!

On the menu at The Reese's-taurant at Grana Privato

The wickedly delicious pairing of salty and sweet will come to life through the eyes of one of Sydney’s most innovative chefs, Alex Wong, Executive Chef of hatted restaurants, Lana and Martinez.

Guests will dive into chicken spiedini with peanut chocolate ‘satay’, leek and garlic flavours before feasting their eyes on the pumpkin Girella raviolo, reflecting the REESE'S peanut butter cup ripple pattern and served in a white chocolate peanut, gorgonzola butter and sage sauce. Treating their tastebuds to a merging of worlds with Australian kangaroo and dark chocolate ‘mole’ empanada featuring the American REESE'S peanut butter cups emulsified into the sauce, guests will then turn to (arguably!) the evening’s hero: a Wagyu rib cap with oxtail, kohlrabi and REESE'S peanut butter ‘rendang’, served with Saffron ‘risotto al salto’ and fragrant herbs.

And let’s not forget dessert! A playful take on the ‘PBJ’ by Alex Wong needs to be seen (and tasted!) to be believed, and brings together the menu in a delightful finish: “Peanut butter and chocolate is such a mouth-watering combination, and a winning inspiration point for this menu that highlights salt and sweetness, and is sure to be anything but ordinary,” Wong says.

This just in: The Reese's-taurant in (your) home

As a special treat, all guests at The REESE's-taurant  at Grana Privato will receive a Halloween goodie bag full of all REESE'S chocolate products – the classic Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate Cups, White Peanut Butter Cups, Caramel Big Cup, Miniature Cups and Sticks bars – so they can continue their love of all things REESE’S peanut butter and chocolate at home, just in time for Halloween! House Made Hospitality will also throw in a AUD$50.00 restaurant voucher for each attendee, for use at one of 10 Sydney venues, including Apollonia, Lana, Martinez, Grana and Promenade Bondi Beach.

For those unable to attend The REESE's-taurant  at Grana Privato, REESE'S and Wong will release the wickedly good recipes across social media so Aussies can recreate the ‘Anything But Ordinary’ menu in their own homes. Be sure to follow @reesesaustralia on Instagram to try them yourself!

As they immerse themselves into the playful world of the iconic REESE'S brand, Wong says he wants Australians to get excited about the possibilities of sweet-salty pairings: “I’ve loved REESE’S peanut butter cups since I was a kid, so it’s been great to create recipes that pay homage to their iconic sweet-and-salty combination, and to know people can try them at home. This menu is all about having a bit of fun, with nods to my favourite Italian and Asian flavours, plus a hint of American comfort.”

One last treat!

Just like REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups, good things don’t last long! That’s why a few of House Made Hospitality’s venues will offer a limited-edition REESE'S Peanut Butter Cookie ($6.50) and REESE'S Chocolate Croissant ($9.50) throughout Halloween and for the month of November, so wider Sydney can get a taste of the action.

This is one wicked season where the delicious pairing of salty and sweet is
Anything But Ordinary. Don’t miss out!
