MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA (July 10, 2018) Allegion, plc, a leading global security products and solutions provider whose brands include Brio, FSH, Legge and Schlage, today completed the acquisition of GWA Group Limited’s Door and Access Systems business in Australia.

GWA’s Door and Access Systems business includes renowned Australian brands Gainsborough hardware, Austral locks and API locksmiths.

We are proud to bring these iconic Australian brands into the Allegion family,” said Jeff Wood, senior vice president and president of Allegion’s Asia-Pacific region. “This partnership allows us to continue pioneering safety and security in Australia and across the Asia-Pacific region.

Together, we want to go to the next level with Gainsborough and API. Through Allegion’s global scale, innovative technologies and supply chain capabilities, we will further enhance the offerings to our Australian customers.”

Over the past five years, we have continued to develop innovative technologies and bring new products to market. With the addition of Gainsborough, Austral and API, we are excited by what the future will bring.”
