Coworking Space launches in Hoppers Crossing

  • Written by: Loren Bartley

A Brand New Coworking Space launches in Hoppers Crossing to help ‘spark joy’ for local Business Addicts.

Loren Bartley, Point Cook resident and owner of Business Addicts Pty Ltd, has created a new coworking space in Hoppers Crossing to help fellow business addicts build a business that supports a life they love and avoid the pitfalls of working from home. Loren is the founder and Chief Marketing Strategist of Impactiv8, a leading digital marketing and training agency.

Business Addicts Coworking welcomes local and visiting businesses and solo entrepreneurs to join the community. The space provides hot desks, permanent desks and private office spaces to use on a casual or 24/7 basis, allowing them to work the way that suits them best.

Business Addicts Coworking builds on the success Loren has enjoyed with Business Addicts The Podcast, a top-rated podcast which she produces and co-hosts with Fiona Redding, from the Happiness Hunter.

“In my 15 years as a business owner, I have met loads of people who juggle their businesses from their homes, the local library and cafes”, says Loren. “I ran my own businesses from my house in Point Cook for the first seven years and I understand how inefficient and frustrating it can be. It was when I had 10 of us working in my house, it was 40 degrees and the air conditioning wasn’t working, that I realised – there has got to be a better way. My workplace clearly wasn’t bringing me joy”.

Business Addicts Coworking allows small business owners and entrepreneurs to belong to a community of like-minded people and access the services they require to run a thriving, professional business that “doesn’t involve the family’s kitchen table as their boardroom”. It is not uncommon for small business owners to work from home and feel uneasy about telling their clients and networks. “It’s often considered unprofessional, despite it being such a common way to operate a business these days”, adds Loren.

Business Addicts Coworking delivers its members 24-hour keyless access, super-fast fibre optic internet, a recording studio for podcasts and videos, sit/stand desks and various break out areas for when you want a change in work environment. And of course, air conditioning!

Importantly, it helps to provide a delineation between an entrepreneur’s ‘home-life’ and ‘work-life’. “Our members have the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative workplace free from household distractions and can now leave their work at work”.

Business Addicts Coworking is located at Suite 3, 283 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing (Vic) and opened its doors on February 4th 2019. It welcomes membership enquiries and tours can be arranged by visiting www.businessaddicts.com
