Lasagne Takes Centre Stage at Chiswick Woollahra This Winter

  • Written by: Times Media

This winter, Chiswick is launching a Lasagne Series, bringing together chefs from across the Solotel group, alongside acclaimed chef and restaurateur Matt Moran, for a nostalgic celebration of the much-loved baked pasta. Running every Sunday evening from 14th June to 19th July, the series leans into Chiswick’s relaxed, neighbourhood feel - made for long, easy winter evenings within its leafy Woollahra surrounds.

Each week across the six-week programme, a different chef will step into the Chiswick kitchen to present their own unique lasagne, available for one night only. Kicking things off on Sunday 14th June is Matt Moran setting the tone for a series that pairs creative expression with hearty, comfort-led cooking.

The line-up will span both classic and contemporary takes, with every chef bringing a distinct approach shaped by their signature style and culinary influences. Ranging from savoury, slow-braised ragùs to lighter, seafood-led interpretations, guests can expect the likes of Wagyu Beef & Pine Mushroom lasagne from Tom Gorringe (Aria) and Pumpkin, Truffle and  Fior di Latte lasagne from David Coumont (North Bondi Fish).

Designed with winter dining in mind, the experience is equal parts indulgent, laidback and accessible. Each $55pp set menu includes the lasagne of the week, garlic and herb focaccia, a crisp seasonal salad and tiramisu to finish. Two specially priced wines will also be available to sip alongside the menu - a warming vino rosso and a crisp vino bianco - creating a feel-good Sunday evening that invites guests to settle in and stay a while. The line-up includes:
