Gold Coast Prestige Agent Hanan Cawley Joins Highland

  • Written by The Times

Highland announces the merger with Hanan Cawley and his team. Mr. Cawley will take on the role of Managing Director of Highland Gold Coast, bringing his expertise and leadership to the forefront of the brand’s expansion in Queensland. Mr Cawley is a well-known agent on the Gold Coast, having built a reputation for securing outstanding results with over $350 million worth of property sales in just 8 years. This is a significant announcement for the Highland Group, who made the move to the Gold Coast in 2023, with the unveiling of their office in Surfers Paradise. Curating a strong presence in the project marketing sector over the last year and a half, the team have represented some of the most prominent developments on the Gold Coast coastline and now this latest announcement highlights a strategic move into the residential space with a proven agent and brings Highland alignment with what they are known for in the greater Sydney and Southern Highlands regions.

Highland CEO David Highland expressed his excitement for this expansion and what that means for the reach of the business. “I am excited for what this means for the brand and our reach across the Eastern Coast,” he explained. “We opened our Queensland office in 2023 to capitalise on what a lot of our clients were telling us – Queensland is the place to be. The pandemic and flexible working arrangements for Sydney-siders saw a push for our local buyers wanting to make the move north and, in our commitment, to providing a fully rounded property service, it only made sense to move to Queensland but more specifically the Gold Coast market. So we opened the office on Cavill Avenue in 2023 and haven’t looked back.”

Highland Group is a prominent force in the Sydney real estate market, renowned for its expertise and comprehensive service offerings since its inception in 2007. With a strong foundation in Sydney, Highland has expanded its influence along the East Coast of Australia, delivering unparalleled residential, commercial, and project marketing solutions. Supported by a diverse suite of specialist services, including property management, financial services, marine operations, and marketing, Highland's extensive reach and integrated approach position it as a trusted partner for clients seeking exceptional results in competitive markets. The company's extensive experience and depth in its sales teams, spanning from Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs to the Inner West and the Sutherland Shire, and reaching down to the Southern Highlands, position them advantageously as they expand their operations on the Gold Coast.

The similarities in Highland’s commitment to clients over their 18 years in operation and what Hanan Cawley has built in just 3 years with the HANAN Group is what drew Mr Highland to the merger.

“Hanan is one of those agents that I’ve been watching for the past couple years as an up-and-comer in the industry. He has been able to build something incredible in a short period and I could see a lot of similarities in how he established his agency as a leading brand on the Gold Coast to how Highland has grown in Greater Sydney and the Southern Highlands.” He continued: “It was an easy choice in the end, asking Hanan and his team to join us and continue his momentum with the backing of our brand with a substantial database and far reaching network as well as first class back end systems that enable Highland agents to focus on what they do best - selling .”

Hanan Cawley got his start in the industry in 2018 in a small town 125km out of Brisbane. Now he is an agent of choice for clients on the Gold Coast. Building his name and reputation, Hanan was asked to speak at the Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) in 2022, the same year Matthew McConaughy was keynote speaker and has appeared on notable podcasts and news cycles for his work in the industry.

“It was the right time for us to expand our Queensland team, and Hanan was the right person to get on board to lead us into the future. I'm excited to see what he and the team can achieve in the years to come,” finishes Mr Highland.

Highland is excited to build strong connections within the Gold Coast community, helping clients achieve their property aspirations while supporting the ongoing success and growth of the region's vibrant real estate market. Backed by extensive experience, a commitment to outstanding service, and a focus on client satisfaction, Highland will make a lasting impact on the Gold Coast's real estate landscape.
