Business Australia new season of The Company You Keep podcast

  • Written by: Media Release

Business Australia is launching the second season of The Company You Keep podcast this week to shine a spotlight on how businesses have navigated COVID-19. After recently launching the inaugural podcast series, recorded prior to the pandemic, the second season tells the stories of innovative Australians who have successfully pivoted their businesses to maintain their workforce, cope with demand and continue to serve their customers and community during the crisis.

Once again hosted by renowned SBS presenter, Janice Petersen and produced by brand storytelling agency Filtered Media, the second season aims to provide the business community with learnings, insights and inspiration on how Business Australia members have navigated the pandemic to continue operating and even grow their business.

From the quick adoption of new technology, brick and mortar stores shifting online and manufacturers creating emergency ventilators, listeners will hear from entrepreneurs, such as tutoring organisation HSC CoWorks, beauty company CanGro and community-run, Manly Food Co-op who share their inspiring and thought-provoking personal stories.

Business Australia’s Chief Customer Experience Officer Richard Spencer, says: “It’s an incredibly tough time for the business community. We know our members, and many other business owners and managers, are drawing on the experiences and learnings of other entrepreneurs facing similar challenges. We are also very proud of the resilience and creativity many of our members have shown so we moved quickly to create and produce a new series that serves two purposes - to inspire and share learnings with the wider business community and shine a spotlight on the innovation of our members.

“While there is still a long road ahead for businesses, it is more important than ever for the business community to rally together, share insights and learn from one another. With the volume of people listening to podcasts while at home, it made sense to use this channel to connect with our members and the wider business community.”

Filtered Media’s Chief Storyteller + CEO, Mark Jones, said its renewed partnership with Business Australia allows the agency to further tap into the role that podcasting plays in bringing people together through storytelling.

“We’re delighted to work with Business Australia for a second season of The Company You Keep and share the inspiring and timely stories of Australian businesses facing the challenges presented by COVID-19 with innovative thinking and a resilient spirit,” Mark says.

Spencer says: “Filtered Media has an award-winning podcast team, so we were excited to engage with them on the first season of The Company You Keep and to seize the opportunity to partner with them again for the second season.”
